For the love of rain - AccuWeather
AccuWeather's Dexter Henry talked with some people who love rainy days (pluviophiles) and those who create sounds for people to enjoy rain experiences. That’s us! pluviophile.com was featured in this story and it was a pleasure to be interviewed by Dexter for AccuWeather.com about pluviophiles and discuss how we create our recordings of rain sounds for sleeping, relaxation and study.
People that love rain are called pluviophiles. The word pluviophile comes from the Latin word “pluvial,” which means rain, and “phile,” which denotes a thing or a person. Therefore, a pluviophile is a lover of rain, or someone that finds joy and peace of mind during the rainy days. - urbandictionary.com

Here are two of our latest recordings featuring a 2 hour thunderstorm recording with heavy rain and rumbling thunder recorded in 3D binaural audio for a fully immersive experience and the second is of the sound of rain falling on an umbrella. Both are best enjoyed with headphones.
